St. Andrew's Episcopal Church
St. Johnsbury, Vermont

Our Committment to Giving  is about participating in God’s mission. Money represents the labor and substance of our lives,  evidence of the blessings we have. From ancient times, people have given the "first fruits of their labor"--the first and best portion--to God as a tangible expression of faith.

“How much of my wealth should I contribute for God's mission and ministry?"  We give in proportion to our income--balanced and equitable. We insure the continued vitality as it goes about God's work in the world.  That is our expectation and committment.

Talk with our priest, Jean, about making your commitment.

Legacy Gifts

Through several generations, St. Andrew’s has been the recipient of numerous gifts to support ministries long into the future. We remember with gratitude the following persons who chose to use the gifts God entrusted to them to strengthen the future of St. Andrew’s:

Robert Bennett,  The Family of Dorothy Bonnett

Leo Cole, Winnie Cutting

Gertrude Davis, Martha L. Fleming

Rodger K. Furse, The Griswold Family

The Revs. George Heald and Theodore A. Hopkins

Elizabeth B. Longmore,  Andrew B. Moore

Samuel A. Moore, Herbert Hugh Quimby

Beatrice Ranney, Alice M. Ritchie

Luella Schroeder, Ruby Smythe

Florence Tull, Arthur Witherspoon

Let us now sing the praises of famous men and women,
our ancestors in their generations….
Their bodies are buried in peace,
but their name lives on generation after generation.

Amen.

Christian Stewardship  is the grateful, joyful, and responsible use of God’s gifts to do the work that God has given us to do, as revealed through Jesus Christ.

Our Discretionary Fund is used in partnership with the resources of local agencies. These gifts, offered on the first Sunday of the month, support and assist those needing heating oil for a home, gas cards to get to a new job, clothing for children,  school supplies for students, and emergency food.
