Our Vestry

Episcopal congregations are led by a board of members called the Vestry.  They work in partnership with the clergy leaders, are elected by the congregation, and are responsible for the management of both the spiritual and the business aspects of the congregation.

Vestry Meeting Highlights

January 3, 2012

2012 Budget Draft—reviewed.  

Prep for Annual Meeting—Dennis will present the 2012 budget; Nicky Stevens will be Senior Warden, 1 year; new 3-member Vestry (Dennis has 1 more year in term, Jocelyn 2 more years, and Nicky with 1 year); Susan will do Building presentation; Jocelyn will do Stewardship presentation.    

Projects—Handing Off

            Stewardship—will go to Vestry;

            Building—Partners Project will continue with Diane;

            VPT—will ask at Annual Meeting. 

New Business:  2012 new Vetsry will need to appoint person(s) to represent us at the NEK Mission Conversation with the Bishop.

Next Meeting: TBD by new Vestry.

Opening worship was a service of Holy Eucharist.

Jean’s Report: Over $5000. in gifts came into the Discretionary Fund in 2011. We need one Vetrsy member noiminee for Annual Meeting: Susan's term is ending.  Jean has invited a member to be Senior Warden; perosn is now discerning. 

New Business:  The Community Justice Center  (CJC) wants to talk to our congregation about the COSA (Circle of Support and Accountability) work they are doing, and invite individuals to become involved. 

     Motion approved to invite CJC to do this. 

“Neighbors helping Neighbors” invited us to join with them in providing an occasional Sunday meal.  Decision to be voted on at next meeting.

Annual Meeting will be Jan. 15, 2012.

Next Vestry meeting:  Jan. 3, 4 PM to complete prep for Annual Meeting.



Our Clergy

The Rev. Jean MacDonald and the Rev. Armand Henault are the ordained leaders of our congregation.  Jean is our priest--our pastor, teacher, and spiritual leader.  Armand is our deacon--our servant leader who connects our congregation to the world.
